BOOM.
Michael and Bryan have no choice but to hire me as their official script writer now.

While this is me kind of poking fun at myself for denying the obvious even as I watched the flashbacks about young Tarrlok and Noatak, this is also me resorting to sarcasm to channel my outrage.

Amon and Noatak just don't mesh. Don't get me wrong, I've actually come to terms with the whole thing and I, too, marvel at Noatak's smexehness. :3
But the whole thing was so rushed. Noatak's personality and actions in the finale didn't fit with Amon's personality. Note that I use two different names; no slash, no parenthesis. Because unless the guy was a complete schizo, he couldn't have been the same person. No siree. So to me Amon =/= Noatak.
Yes, I will remain in my blissfull state of denial. Or at least, I will love each of the two characters separately.
I mean no offense guize. Rest assured that there's enough love in me for both men. Ok that sounded wrong. But anyway. For the lulz.

AMON LIVES! Or as my friend ~Misty102288 so eloquently and musically put it, WILL THE REAL AMON PLEASE STAND UP?

***EDIT***
There is a slight amount of confusion as to how Noatak's name is spelled. If I find out it's officially spelled Noatok, I'll edit this. The pun is still bad enough to work in this context.

I agree with all of it. The ending was just so rushed!

Gosh, I know. Don't even get me started. :XD: It was wrong in so many ways.
Such a waste of potential! And the sloppy explanations didn't help at all.

Seriously! Good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. It drives me crazy!

It just doesn't seem right. There's so much more that could have been done. I feel the whole story line could have gone on a lot longer... How can a revolution end so quickly?!

Oh gawsh, you're definitely NOT the only one, trust me. I think 80% of fans thought the pacing of the show was too quick and the ending too crappy. :XD:

Instead of wasting time with the stupid love triangle and with the Fire Ferret games, they could have developed Korra as a character. They could have showed why people felt repressed by benders. They could have given Amon a better back story. And yes, the revolution couldn't possibly have ended like that. I mean, remember how many people were present at the rallies? Massive amounts, changing their minds overnight? I think not.

Yessssss. So much pure yes. I adore the fire ferrets, and all the dynamics of pro bending and even the romance stuff, but it was all too much. And for only 12 episodes. I want to know more about character and personality and even Republic City and the rest of the world. Did the revolution spread? What about other major cities? It's the era of newspapers and radio! There's so much possibility there! But no... Happily ever after after... Korra must have it pretty good.

Exactly. The pro bending games were fun enough, but then it got to a point where it was taking up precious character development time. :XD: As you said, there were so many possibilities, questions unanswered... And you know what the worst thing is? Apparently, in an interview, Bryke themselves couldn't properly explain how bloodbending could serve to take away bending. :XD: It was so cheap I can't even deal with it anymore. And Korra sure had it easy. She didn't mature at all and got everything she wanted in the end. She should have had to deal with being a non-bender, to discover her value as a person before getting her powers back. It might have helped her with her spiritual flaws.

Bryan.... Mike.... Bryke.... All I can do now is just shake my head.

I adore Korra... But she should have had to deal with it more. What I hate the most about the finale (yeah, more than even how rushed it was) was how she assumed Mako and Bolin wouldn't want anything to do with her after her bending was taken away. That's just too shallow. There were no clues for her to think that! And it doesn't fit with her character at all. That part was obviously just thrown in there to add to the drama and unneeded romantic stuff. Unnecessary.

Even the preview they showed at SDCC for book two makes me mad! Now she's suddenly a spiritual master and can go into the avatar state as she pleases! Not right. Aang was raised spiritually (by monks!!) and still had to work harder than that.

I agree, she should have had to deal.

Sorry for ranting!

Gahh I know. I just -- whenever I think of the finale and the wasted potential, I facepalm repeatedly. You should have seen me during the last episodes. I was literally offended to tears. :XD:

Yeah, they really didn't develop Korra as a character. They said something about her having to love herself before she can love others (as an explanation for her rejection of Mako when she lost her bending), but it only reinforces the idea that she should have learned to love herself as a person, not just as the Avatar. You're right, her behavious didn't really fit her character and the same goes for Amon. Noatak getting all emotional and leaving behind all he worked for? Really? The cold, calculated man with a plan??

Korra did NOT earn her way into the spirit world, that's for sure. :XD: You make an excellent point; even Aang, who was raised by monks wasn't portrayed as a spiritual master. Ughhhh

And no problem. I could rant about this for AGES.
